The location was super, very quiet. Off the beaten track, a tiny hamlet of great character. Very picturesque. The staff were most helpful. I appreciated greatly being able to check in earlier than expected especially as there was a storm starting. There was somewhere secure to leave my bike overnight. I had a minor issue with my bike but with the hotel's help I was very largely able to deal with it, thank you. A good choice on the menu for an evening meal and a good breakfast. Nice to see a family run hotel who obviously take a pride in their work.

The town (of about 25 residents) and the hotel are from a different era, a nicer one. Very welcoming staff and a restaurant that is the gem of the region. It has quite a few tables and it is always full. Food is Great, prices are very fair and you can tell that people from neighboring towns come here regularly. The hotel and restaurant are family run and you can tell their commitment to service. The room was very clean and has all you need for a nice rest after driving around in the area or visiting medieval towns, like this one. The big extra was coming to the room, opening the window and having the castle right in front, magnificent view. You can hear the water of the river that runs next to the hotel and it is quite soothing. Very calm at night, lovely place to relax. Thanks!
