Amazing position - so peaceful. Lovely cottage with plenty of character. Rob and Jess were so helpful and kind.

“Wonderful”

Beautiful rustic cottage deep in the countryside. Perfect if you want a secluded rural retreat with all the home comforts. Wild swimming and lovely walks from your front door. Kites and kestrels to watch as you drink your morning coffee and the sound of the river to lull you to sleep at night. Comfy beds, good shower and views it’d take you several lifetimes to tire of.

“Pure bliss in the Lake District. Wanted to stay forever.”
01 Aug 2024
I almost don’t want to write this review and give away the secret of this little gem of a cottage. I selfishly want to keep the knowledge of it to myself but I also want to give a great review too. I booked this house for the idea of it being secluded and in the countryside and I was not disappointed. After unlocking 3 gates, waiting for some sheep to move to allow the car through l.and driving down a long farm path through fields of beautiful countryside we arrived at the cutest little farmhouse. Blissfully peaceful with views to die for, I didn’t want to go home. Perfect for kids and dogs but I would equally love to just book a week here alone to enjoy a rest! Great wild swimming spot just down the road by Ulpha Bridge, easy access to Ravenglass steam train, Eskdale, Coniston, Ambleside, and Windermere. Loved the enclosed gardens for our dog and toddler. Cute little log burner for cool nights. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

“Lovely farmhouse”

The farm house was comfortable to stay in. Was lovely sitting in front of the fire at night. Was very quiet. Alls you had for neighbours were sheep lol.
