I cannot fault this hotel. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile and felt welcomed. I have stayed a few times now, for medical reasons, and the staff I have had dealing with have been nothing short of amazing. I would like to give a big mention to the lovely lady that works on reception of a day time. She always makes me feel so welcome, without fail, every time. Also, a big thank you the the lovely man who went above and beyond during the night to find me an extra pillow. It's the little things that mean a lot and that we remember. Also a big thankyou to the other lovely lady who works in reception who kept my pillow until I returned again. I knew I was forgetting something! Thanks again!

The Metropolitan is old, but it is clean, well maintained, and everything always works. The service is always great and the location and car park entry are easy to get to and from. The privately owned and operated coffee shop on the ground floor has great healthy breakfasts. I always feel relaxed when I stay at the Metropolitan.

Room, whilst older, was clean. Perhaps consider painting the bathroom door. The rest of the room looks spectacular. It feels like the bathroom was overlooked. All in all, very clean and tidy. The gentleman on overnight was VERY helpful when my room key wouldn't work - went abve and beyond
