The fine print
Due to the age of the building, there are steep stairs leading to certain rooms, which may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility. Furthermore, some rooms have wonky floors, to be avoided if you suffer from any imbalance symptoms.Please note that parking at the hotel is very limited. Spaces are allocated spaces on a first come, first served basis. However, there is free parking from 18:00 - 08:00 on the road outside the hotel, or 18:00 - 09:00 in close by car parks. Parking tickets will be refunded. There are also 2 drop off spaces outside the hotel.The Old Vicarage Hotel welcomes well-behaved dogs in the classic rooms for a GBP 15 per night, per dog fee. They will be provided with a dog bed, bowls, treats and toilet bags. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, mess must be picked up and disposed of and no dog may be left in a room on its own. Please inform the property in advance if travelling with a pet.

Lovely location opposite the church, with parking. The room was well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was generally good but lacked advertised black pudding, and the sausages were a little underdone.

Good room, all staff friendly, helpful, went out of their way to help, excellent evening meal, great chef, enjoyed the stay. Good choice of buffet on breakfast if you wanted it in addition to full english, Service at both meals good. I had to change booking night, no problem soon sorted.

Everything from start to finish, the checking in went smoothly and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Due to location, the car parking can be tight but still had plenty of spaces for the length of stay. The room was gorgeous and very nicely decorated. Also, the room was spotless, including the ensuite. Excellent breakfast both mornings and the staff were so courteous and helpful nothing was a bother for them. On leaving, we thanked the staff for everything they had done and let them know that we would be returning without a doubt. Loved the stay ❤️

Breakfast was excellent but the Sunday lunch was disappointing, strange ideas of using wood instead of plates is not a good idea as the gravy runs of and the piece of wood was not wide enough anyway so the food was just heaped up in a pile.

Could NOT fault any aspect of our stay, the staff and premises were amazing as was our Breakfast ! HIGHLY recommend this little gem and would definitely be returning

Historic hotel sympathetically restored with up-to-date facilities, friendly and efficient team. Spotlessly clean. Food service was good value and varied. Only Minor down point was rather limited lighting ( room 15)

Everything about it, the history of it, the original wooden beams everywhere! amazing hotel, the receptionist guy who also waited until 10:15pm so I could check it even though check in ended at 9pm!!
