Inns Overview

Set in a charming Devon longhouse dating back to the 13th century, this inn is located between Dartmoor’s Okehampton and Tavistock in the hamlet of Lake. Bearslake Inn offers 6 en-suite rooms and parking. The A30 is around 2 miles from the property.
The Sourton Tor, Corn Ridge, and Great Links Tor are all just a short walk away with the Granite Way cycle path running directly behind the pub.
All rooms offer tea and coffee-making facilities with fresh Taw Valley milk (available from the bar), luxury toiletries, digital TV, and free WiFi. Each has an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer and ironing facilities are available. Out of the 6 rooms, 4 of them are pet-friendly.
The property offers a breakfast hamper, available 7 days a week for an additional fee. It features many options of homemade, sweet, and savory goodies, Devon yogurts and cereals, fresh fruits, local fruit juices, Devon blended tea, roasted coffee, smoked salmon, or a bottle of chilled bubbly. A Grab and Go breakfast including a takeaway coffee or tea of your choice and a croissant per person is also available
During our summer opening hours (1 April to 30 September 2024) we serve meals 7 days a week and specialize in West country-style meals with locally sourced produce. During our Winter hours (1 October to 31 March 2024) we serve food between Weds and Sunday.
The property’s Snug Bar serves locally produced real ales. Guests can also relax in the spacious garden with views of the moor across open farmland.

The fine print
During the summer 1 May to 30 September our bar and restaurant are open 7 days a week, serving food between 12noon – 2:30pm and then again from 5:30 to 8:00pm, the bar serves drinks all day between 12noon to close. During our winter opening hours 1 October to 30 April our bar and restaurant are closed Sunday evenings, all day Monday and Tuesday. Dogs can be accommodated in some rooms upon request. No rates on Booking.com included a breakfast however this can be added at the property. Guests will be required to agree to the property's terms and conditions upon check in and a copy of these will be sent as part of the confirmation email.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
