* The hotel is in the heart of the English Lake District, on the shores of lake Windermere, in 17 acres of private grounds. Most bedrooms have lake views, others look over the gardens.
*There are 2 restaurants and a traditional 'pub' style bar. The restaurants offer 2 different style menus, one informal and one with a fixed price 4 course menu; plus a traditional English Afternoon Tea.

Excellent breakfast and quality of food and service in both the bar and restaurant. Excellent location near to Bowness and beautiful lake views. All the staff were polite, helpful and professional with nothing being too much trouble.

The location by the lake is amazing and there are great views of the lake while eating at the restaurant. The staff were so friendly and accommodating - the restaurant staff especially were very helpful with my diet, giving me gluten-free options for every meal. It felt like nothing was too much trouble. They helped to make my stay so enjoyable. The food was delicious for every meal and the room was very comfortable too! It was the perfect stay for a peaceful, restorative break.
