It was an opportunity to experience a unique story of a chateau which was steeped in the history of aeroplane invention and lovingly restored from near ruin by a family who very nearly committed to making it French TV’s own ‘Escape to the Chateau’. It is quirky and perhaps not the finished article, but much appreciated by us and it seems the other guests. To like? The grounds and ease of parking. Small number of guests, care and attention of staff, fabulous location at the confluence of Loire and Maine.

It is a beautiful chateau, which has been carefully restored. Decorations were so lovely., we loved our room. Dinner just outside the property was great- a lovely location and great food.
