- Property located in a quiet, green area - Still within walking distance (10-15 minutes) from Borovets central area - Shuttle to center very helpful - Nice facilities, ski depot, pool, sauna - Large parking area, though at exactly same daily rate as parking in Borovets center - should have some discount for hotel guests

Nice spa area for after skiing, great place to relax and unwind at the end of the day. Very easy free transfer to the ski slopes which only took a few minutes and runs regularly. very comfy beds and good space in the room.

In general it was a nice clean hotel and the staff were very nice... the spa was nice, nice heated seating. Although the round beds/cubbies you see in the YouTube videos are built for tiny people...lol Would we recommend it, definitely, but there are a few things just to be aware of... see below.

This is the second time in a row that we visited Lion Hotel in Borovets. The main reason is skiing but the other reason is the hotel! In this accommodation you’ll find everything you need. The breakfast buffet is really good and well thought out with many options. The spa is amazing, I especially enjoyed the outdoor sauna and the jacuzzi but mostly on the day that we took off from skiing because in the afternoon it gets really crowded inside and out. There’s a van that gets you to the ski lifts everyday which is an almost 3 min drive. We didn’t get the evening buffet but we loved the food in the restaurant that has quite reasonably prices and very polite and lovely stuff. The room was spacious!

Beautifully renovated common areas including the restaurant, lobby bar and a great selection of spa experiences - multiple saunas, steam baths, a salt room, a swimming pool, and both an outdoor hot tub and another sauna. Walking time to the cabin lift was app. 15mins with a dedicated shuttle provided by the hotel.

Overall, an amazing place to stay! It's not the first, nor the last time we stay there for a little get-away from the city. The staff was really polite and helpful, the facilities are modern, the SPA is clean and available. The food is just amazing! The price is more than reasonable for the comfort and the quality of services you receive. Looking forward to my next visit there!

Waze couldn't guide us for some reason but Google Maps saved the day. The location was great - wooded area, fresh air and lots of nature to take in. The included breakfast with our stay was a buffet style with variety of the usual items, plus some extras like several options for coffee, juice and jams. Everything we tried was delicious. Sadly, the ice cream machine was reserved for dinner so we couldn't try that. The room was spacious and the provided toiletries plus two small wines and waters were great to have. We didn't have to pay for parking and while it was very busy, we still found a spot. As it's a mountain area, the nights can be cold, but we luckily had a heater provided with the room. Staff was friendly.
