Set in an 18th-century mansion La Maison du Lierre was named after the 200 years old ivy covering its terrace. This boutique hotel is located in a prime location in the centre of Bordeaux, just a 10-minute walk from the Grand Theatre - Opera National de Bordeaux and a 5-minute walk from the Allée de Tourny.

The room in the garden was lovely! And so quiet.. Totally silent. I loved the breakfast on my terrasse- when I got up, the lady had set up my table with cup, freshly squeezed orange juice, bread and croissant. I only had to sit and eat! Very friendly staff. Excellent location- I had dinner at Baud et Millet, a well established cheese restaurant on the same street. Highly recommended!

Maison du Lierre is very well hidden. We walked by it without seeing it, which is good because we didn't want a hotel that screams 'hotel'. It's quiet, cool and welcoming at the same time, very french, trendy and young. I had the impression that the majority (as far as I could see them) of the clients were 50-60-ish. We booked a room on the ground floor with a terras, and that's really really nice. makes you feel at home having your breakfast in the garden. Bordeaux is not a very noisy city, but still it was extremely quiet at night (and also during the day) in the hotel. After visiting the city by day, we had a pre dinner wine in the garden. Always had the feeling we had a secret garden to ourselves.
