We've just returned from a 13 night stay at Villa Lawana where we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Tom collected us from the airport (free transfers are included in the price) and was very responsive, dealing promptly with the issues we had (2x broken deckchairs, no hot water and blocked toilets). Unfortunately, the hot water issue in the master bedroom could not be fixed while we were there. However, there were 2 other showers for us to use, so this did not cause us too much of a problem (as there were only 2 of us in the villa). The kitchen is adequately equipped, large fridge freezer, electric oven and gas hob, microwave, coffee maker etc. The pool area is beautiful, but if you're a sun worshipper like me, you may be a bit disappointed. Firstly because there are no actual sunbeds at the villa (only 2x deckchairs, which would not be enough if the villa was fully occupied). Secondly, the deck area by the pool is only in the sun until lunchtime (in February). I did manage to get my sun fix by moving a deckchair to the space on the lawn at the end of the pool, which was not ideal as it is below the deck area. The villa is located up a side street very close to the Big C supermarket, which is very handy. There is a laundry service and a couple of small shops, but not much else in the immediate vicinity. We did not have a moped or a car and were happy to walk the 20 minutes into Fisherman's Village. There wasn't a great deal in the other direction either, so understand that you will need to get about somehow. Apart from walking we also used songthaews and taxis, but the costs do add up. We would definitely return.
