The location, just off Piazza Maggiore, could't be better. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in both a normal room and one of the apartments they have in the same building (though with a different entrance) -- both were excellent. The breakfast is very good. All in all highly recommended.

The hotel is located in a beautiful building right off Piazza Maggiore and each room is individually and tastefully decorated. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay a pleasant and comfortable one, and were very generous with insider tips. Also, whereas Bologna is a tout city for someone with dietary restrictions, I always left the breakfast room with a full belly and stuffed pockets.
