Resort Overview

Located on a private peninsula in Blue Bay, Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa has three different beaches lapped by Blue Bay Marine Park home to a wealth of sea life. This vast resort has a luxuriant garden where the accommodation is nested.
The bright rooms and suites include a cosy lounge area with satellite TV and air-conditioning. Each has a minibar, a modern bathroom and offers Wi-Fi access. All categories have a balcony or terrace and face the sea. Some offer a beautiful view of the Blue Bay marine park.
The resort features various facilities to please everyone. Parents can relax on a sun lounger around the pool while younger guests can have good times at the Kids Club. For more enjoyment, relaxing treatments are available at the spa. The hotel also offers other facilities such as a fitness centre, sauna and hammam.
Sailing, snorkelling and water-skiing among others, are available at the boat house. A ski academy with private coaching is also proposed with supplement, whereas trips to Iles aux Aigrettes nature reserve can be organized. Land sports, such as tennis, bocciball or a 9-hole pitch & putt golf course can be enjoyed at the resort.

Amazing location and nicely stretched out across three beaches so it never feels too crowded. Bay and reef right in-front of the hotel are amazing for snorkelling, best we had on the island. In contrast to other reviews we did like the food very much. Proximity to the airport is very convenient to spend your last days on the island there

The resort is very beautiful, immersed in the natural beauty of the trees and blue bay marine park. A lot of activities including motorised sea activities like water ski and glass bottom. Kayaking is also very nice in the calm lagoon, with no waves - had the opportunity to see coral reefs and marine life. The room is very cosy and the sea views are magnificent. The food is good and I really appreciated the provision of drinking water at different refill points on the resort.

Close to the airport, we found watching the planes take off enjoyable and not disturbing at all. Friendly staff who were always happy to chat for a few minutes if they were not busy. Delicious food with good service in the restaurants. Snorkeling straight from the beach (if you have your own gear), but also 3 free snorkeling trips by boat each day if you need to borrow the hotel's kit. Free watersports including waterskiing. The birds & bats around the resort were fascinating to watch. The sights of south of the island is an interesting day tour & easily accessible due to the hotel's location, as are boat trips directly from the hotel beach along the SE coast including Ile aux Cerfs.

The hotel and look is stunning, with a lovely beach and pool. The food was tasty, and the rooms were nice and spacious. There is an on-site animal warden that feeds the stray animals, which is excellent. Drinking water is readily available from fountains to fill up water bottles.

Second time in Mauritius and at Shandrani (came here in 2022) and did not disappoint. Again, had an excellent family holiday. A few things have changed for better - water filling stations everywhere available now and the gym has had new equipment (maybe other things have also changed but didn't notice). As before, food was excellent with good variety/selection (though if you're vegan - you might find it a bit limiting). Would strongly recommend trying some of their speciality restaurants. However, don't opt for typical European cuisine as we've found that they're not as good. Staff were very polite and accommodating. Maybe we will come back for a 3rd time...🤔

The beach location is superb, had a quiet room overlooking the sea, enjoyed the relaxed and spacious layout of resort, beautifully maintained buildings and gardens, extremely comfortable room and bed. A really top location in Mauritius.

Everything was perfect, my daughter booked us a room for our wedding anniversary, with a sea view. The staff was so nice and gave us little gifts since they knew it was our anniversary.
