To accommodate a family in the guest bedrooms, in some cases a foldaway bed will be used. If you require a cot please ask at the time of booking.Other than in our family rooms extrabeds are charged at £10 per night and cots are charged at £5 per night and are subject to availability.Should you arrive with children that are not part of your booking their meals will be chargeable.Breakfast is free for children aged 5 years and under. Breakfast for children aged 6 - 12 years are charged at GBP 5.00. Children aged 13-17 years are charged at GBP 10.00.Children aged 5 years and under can choose a free two-course dinner with a full paying adult. A children's menu is available for children aged 6 - 12 years old, or they can order from the restaurant menu at GBP 12.50.Children over 13 years are classed as young adults and pay full rate for dinner as taken.Family dining times may apply. Obviously a quiet time of the year for The Imperial ! Nonetheless we were welcomed, the sea view room was great and breakfast was delicious despite only a few guests being present. We missed the buffet style cooked breakfast which is the usual fare but the individually made alternative was great. As a bonus, and despite there being few guests we also enjoyed entertainment from a female singing duo in the Prime Ministers Bar. We have stayed at the Imperial many times and it's never let us down !

The staff were very helpful and lovely to deal with. The room was clean and spacious and well equipped with iron, ironing board, hair dryer. The bathroom was also spacious and clean.

The room was excellent. It's a little dated, but in a good way. The hotel itself is gorgeous, a classic straight out of Agatha Christie

The management and staff were exceptionally pleasant, courteous and very welcoming. The hotel was really clean and our room was lovely. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast and will try the evening meal upon our next stay. I can honestly say we were very well looked after with nothing being too much trouble!
