The location was perfect. The parking spot cost 10 Euros, but it was in the garrage. So it was really good.

The location of the hotel is excellent, it is close to the centre and 7 mins walk to Guggenheim. There is is parking available for 10 eur/night. The hosts are friendly. The room is very clean. The bed is good. Downstairs there is a breakfast room with (paid) coffie and some snaks.

The room was surprisingly quiet despite the Pension's location very close to a main highway overpass. Although the weather was unseasonably hot - scorching, in fact - we kept the room cool by closing the shutters during the day, and opening the windows wide after dark. The young woman who is the front desk manager could not have been nicer, and very competent. We were only a ten-minute walk from the Metro. A short downhill stroll to the river, and we stumbled on the excellent tavern Haven, with good food and local Basque wines, tables on the terrace overlooking the river and the Guggenheim - great and inexpensive meals.

We stayed at the Pension La Salve three nights. The place has a convenient location, although one must know local shortcuts (thank you lady from reception for explaining the easy way to get). The room was clean and cleaned on demand. Although there is a road nearby one can hardly hear the traffic. To sum up it is a convenient place to stay in Bilbao.

Close to city centre, secure parking (and not too expensive). Bed was comfortable, everything clean. The receptionist was very helpful.
