Authentic, homely feel. Cacao tour included with the booking was a nice touch. We have enjoyed home cooked meals and hot chocolate! The views from the lodge into the rain forest were fantastic. We have spent afternoons relaxing in the hammock or sipping cocktails in the jacuzzi overlooking the forest.

The cabin had a back deck looking into the forest and the tour of the farm. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

amazing staff, wonderful chocolate tour and would recommend to do the chocolate workshop as well! they have a jacuzzi that you can use and the chocolate milk is great as well. I would recommend it to any chocolate lover!

It is indeed one of our best stay during a 3 weeks travel in Costa Rica. It has all - beautiful, very comfortably equiped houses, perfect restaurant, amazing cacao field surroundings, wonderful nature and birds, great people, very interesting tours and a relaxing little spa. On top of all this - it has a perfect location, close to Rio Celeste (Parque Nacional Volcán Tenorio). Our huge thanks to all great team, who makes it happen!

The location is great. It all fits. The details. The food and service. It all shows that this finca is build with passion. The people working there, their stories, the product they make, the tours on the farm itself. Again, it shows passion. The lodges, perfection, .... This is a place where you really want to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Finca Amistad. The highlight of our visit was Lidia, a lovely lady who greeted us at check-in and made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. Though she didn’t speak English and we didn’t speak Spanish, her warmth and attentiveness truly touched our hearts. We also liked the chocolate tour, although I personally wished our guide had been a bit more enthusiastic. For someone experiencing cacao beans for the first time, I think there’s more that could be shared about the process and the magic of chocolate (this wasn’t our first cacao tour, so we had higher expectations). We especially loved the animals—the cat and the dogs that joined us during breakfast and dinner. The cat was so friendly and added an extra charm to our experience.
