I recently stayed at wildplanetecoRetreat and it exceeded all my expectations. Nestled in the heart of bardia national Park, this hotel offers an unparalleled opportunity to experience nature at its finest. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the local wildlife and ecosystems. imagine waking up to the sounds of birdsong and catching glimpses of wildlife right from your room’s balcony! We were lucky enough to see tiger rhino and elephant which made the experience even more magical. The guided wildlife tours were a highlight, led by expert naturalists who truly cared about conservation and ensuring we had a respectful and immersive experience in the animals' natural habitat. The rooms were incredibly comfortable with a rustic charm, perfectly blending luxury and nature. The attention to detail was evident, with eco-friendly products and sustainable practices throughout the property, which added to the sense that we were in harmony with the environment. The dining was another standout feature. The hotel served locally sourced, fresh, and organic meals, catering wonderfully to a variety of dietary preferences. After a day of exploring, it was the perfect way to relax and recharge. Overall, wild planet eco Retreat is a must-visit for any nature lover. The best place on earth! We had an absolutely amazing stay, and everyone was incredibly welcoming. We needed a tent, and Baba, the owner of the place, personally arranged for it to be delivered from Kathmandu to the village. If you’re looking for safari tours, this is the perfect spot – truly the best experience ever!

The lodge is very well located, very close to the National Park. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is just gorgeous! I spent my time eating there, haha The bed is confortable and we have our own privacy We can have the visit sometimes of some monkeys, what I really enjoyed

We had the most unforgettable stay at Wild Planet Eco Retreat! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were truly in the heart of the jungle. The retreat is surrounded by nature, and the sound of the wildlife around you instantly transports you to another world. It's the perfect balance of comfort and immersion in nature.The staff and guides are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife. Our guide was an expert in tracking animals and had an incredible eye for spotting wildlife that we would have otherwise missed. He not only knew the behavior of the animals but also shared fascinating stories and insights about the flora and fauna in the park. We learned so much during our safaris, and it made the experience all the more enriching.Wild Planet Eco Retreat isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience. You feel deeply connected to the wilderness from the moment you step in, whether you're sitting by the fire in the evening, listening to the sounds of the jungle, or out on safari, witnessing the raw beauty of Bardia National Park. I have been to stay here a few times and keep coming back! Brothers, Baba and Prakash grew up nearby and it's great to see their business thriving. Since my first visit they have renovated rooms, bought a jeep and, this year, installed AC. They clearly care so much about the business and their guests welfare. The accomodation is beautiful. Traditional style mud walled buildings are adorned with motifs of jungle animals and the garden is the perfect place to unwind and swap stories over sundowners or an open fire. But, the staff are the real highlight. I work in conservation and rarely have I encountered a group of people so passionate about wildlife and so excited to share it with you. Bardia National Park is a very special place, but having these guys with you makes it magical. Not only do you see and learn more, but their energy and enthusiasm is infectious. It is impossible not to smile when you are on safari with these guys! Years of experience and dedication means Baba and Prakash are second to none at getting you eye to eye with a tiger. That's not to say you should expect to see one in your first hour in the park (although that has happened to me in the past). This is not a zoo after all and I would always recommend anyone visiting to spend as long as you can. Three days at least. Bardia is not easy to get to so you might as well stay a while. This trip I visited with some family and the team seamlessly adjusted the safaris to an older, slightly less mobile, audience. My family had forgotten their binoculars, but that wasn't an issue as the wild planet team lent them a pair each. At the end of their stay Baba (who is a keen wildlife photographer) even shared the photos he'd taken during their stay, which were far better than any we had taken. Between us we had a collection of dietary requirements, including me being vegan and gluten free, but nothing was too much trouble and the food was delicious!

I had amazing 4 days in Wild Planet Eco Retreat. The resorts is surrounded by nature and the buildings made out of clay/mud. Everything is kept very natural and ecological which I like very much. Baba and his staff are very welcoming, helpful and fun and try to give you the best stay with lots of adventure and please you with everything you want to experience. I had booked the cultural tour and the walking safari and enjoyed both very much. The cultural tour especially was a surprise to me and I recommend it to everybody as the culture is still very pure. Baba has a big passion for the conservation of Bardia NP and is trying it’s best to contribute into the national park as much as he can… I was staying in a budget room, which was great for the price.
