Staff was very helpful and pleasant. The room was so spacious and was very nice to stay in - no noise and was a good temperature. The bed was comfortable, shower and bathtubs were great! Small things like a non-wallfixed hairdryer, TV sound in the bathroom and tablet to help with information and requests were much appreciated.

The Dorint hotel is really interesting with its convenient location near the St. Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. A spacious lobby, spacious elevators, wide corridors and large and comfortable rooms. The sanitary block is very spacious - toilet, shower and a separate bathtub. There are even two sinks in the bathroom - so that two people can brush their teeth at once. And the double bed is so large that four people could sleep and the bed is very comfortable. As comfortable and spacious as the rooms are, the breakfast area is so narrow and very uncomfortable. Moreover, the food for breakfast is exactly the same every morning, boring. A five-star hotel would be proud to offer lightly salted salmon and champagne for breakfast, but they don't have all that, not even on Sunday morning. But the biggest anger is caused by the fact that upon arrival, guests are charged not only the entire amount of their stay, but also a 100 euro deposit as a security deposit. I would understand if there was a mini-bar with drinks in the room's refrigerator that I could drink without paying, but the refrigerator is as empty as a rag. This attitude is surprising when guests are viewed as potential thieves. Or will I steal an ironing board or iron? I will drink in the hotel bar and leave without paying. In any case, this is not good manners and this is only the second time in 20 years that we have encountered such a deposit. Money is returned to the card only within 24 hours after departure. Otherwise, the staff is kind. But neither the food nor the rest really reaches the high five-star level. As we say, there could be fewer stars and then the expectations would not be so high. There are many German senior couples in the hotel who appreciate the spaciousness and comfort. But we found it cool and boring. In terms of attitude and range of offerings.
