The fine print
Directions to Mango Home B&B: From Ho Chi Minh City head to Ben Tre city centre, connect to Dong Khoi Boulevard in Ben Tre and turn left (eastward). Travel on the 885 Highway for about 6 km towards Giong Trom District and Chet Say Bridge. Mango Home B&B is located 700 metres after crossing this bridge on the right hand side and a short 8-minute walk through the village.

This was exceptional in the best way, I think by far our best stay in Vietnam in 3 weeks. So nice and helpful staff, a beautiful garden with a pool and so many relaxing zones and views. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

Wow a little bit of paradise and completely exceeded our expectations. Value for money, Wonderful rooms and Beautiful sunsets over looking the river. Staff were exceptional including Ben who looked after us every day. Thoroughly recommend a visit here for a few nights. There is a narrow road down to resort but our taxis managed it or a golf buggy can take you. Nothing really outside the resort but as we only stayed 2 nights this was not a problem.

This would’ve been a 10 on everything except for one of the beds being rock hard and our youngest daughter not being able to sleep for the first night! She switched beds on the second night though and all was good! The food is simple but delicious and authentic, and the portion sizes enormous - at lunch one noodle dish could feed 4! We took advantage of the morning cultural tour which, as well as a lovely boat ride down the Mekong (well, My Thinh branch) included a tampan, bike rides, tuk tuk and visits to coconut factory, brick factory and a local rice paper manufacturer, all locally owned. Hao was a knowledgable and delightful guide! One or two of the newer staff could do with a little more English, particularly those waiting tables, but we should also be MUCH better at learning the lingo! The place is immaculately clean, in natural surroundings, and eco-friendly to boot, with solar powered hot water. A wonderful end to our two weeks in Nam - thank you!

Mango Home was a beautiful end to our trip in Vietnam! The whole place is beautiful and the gardens, pool and sunset lookout area are amazing! The rooms are well kept and spacious. On one night our aircon stopped working and they immediately put us in a new room with no questions asked! The staff are all very attentive, helpful and friendly! Keep in mind it is quite isolated from the main town of Ben Tre but we enjoyed the time to switch off and using the free bikes to cycle around the village area.

We extended our stay for a further four nights at Mango due to a change in travel plans but we were glad to have more time there and could have stayed longer as we made use of the free bikes and hired a motorbike in Ben Tre. Rooms were comfortable and ours looked out over the pond towards the river and sunset. Breakfasts were good as were the evening meals (just as well as there was nowhere else to go to eat without getting a taxi or motorbike. Staff were polite but English was sometimes a struggle which made communicating a challenge. The manager, Ben, is extremely helpful and speaks good English and has an ability to remember guests' names which is always nice.

Lovely boutique set up. Pool stunning, towels available too. Room comfortable. Outside bathroom, lovely shower gel. Staff very friendly, Ben in particular was fabulous, spoke great English and was happy to engage with us too. Breakfast buffet was plentiful, large variety and tasty. Excellent value for money eh

Amazing place. So well kept and chilled. Stunning garden and view on the Mekong. All the staff members are very very friendly and helpful. The pool and room are very clean. The food was good too and the breakfast buffet has a good variety.

Very nice and comfortable accommodation in the nature near the river. Friendly staff. Nice swimming pool. It is absolutely worth visiting. They can organize very nice and interesting tour through the area. Highly recommended.
