I needed a place to stay in Belize City last minute as my flight was delayed and it was too late to drive to Cayo district. I picked Ramada because it's known commodity. It met my need for a place to stay for the night and the view of the sunrise over the ocean in the morning was bonus. But wouldn't be where I would choose to stay for any length of time - I'm not into casino.

This hotel deserves a higher overall score than it currently has on Booking.com. Yes, it is dated, in need of a refurbishment and the gym equipment is out of the 1970s. Yes, the breakfast also needs improvement or at least a bit more variety. But this hotel was really quite fine overall. The Wifi worked well (in the rooms only), the bed was comfortable and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I understand why some people are disappointed in this hotel, particularly those who come on vacation, but I found everything quite nice overall. The location is excellent, the view of the sea outstanding and the park next to the hotel very nice with plenty of cheap, excellent food stalls available. I would stay here again.
