Murdeira Village Resort offers a free shuttle bus from/to the Hotel from/to Santa Maria accordingly to availability.35€ per adult for Christmas and New years eve.
The children form 4 to 12,99 yrs have a reduction of 50% of this amount.Please note : both Half Board and Full Board do not have drinks included.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Our second accommodation on the island after Santa Maria. Murdeira Village is the place for peace and quiet, no music in the daytime anywhere… heaven! Our room was at the back of the village, giving us sunshine on the balcony in the morning, out of the wind, plastic furniture is tiny and broken on the balcony, we used the sitting room chairs. The room is big, well maintained, very basic, not really a kitchenette we only had two odd glasses, two odd tiny cups and we had to ask for a kettle. The Fridge is tired but ok, no cooking facilities. No aircon needed for sleeping, I could feel the springs in the bed, slept on a duvet thing did help. Lovely fresh cotton sheets every couple of days. Laundry very clean and the room was cleaned everyday. Blackout curtains. That sand does get everywhere! The shower is very good if you have it before everyone else. A small shop down the road. There is rocky Sandy walks up and down the coast from the village. Average temp was 25 degrees, perfect. Evening cooler and sleep able. Our air cushions came in handy on the sun loungers, there are not enough sun loungers round the pool but we managed to get some most days. The sun loungers are homemade wood and not the ones on the website, no loungers on the beach as in the website images. The cushions mats are spilt and tired but they are comfy if you get out of the wind. Would be great to have loungers on the beach or beach chairs and wind breaks. More wind here as it is exposed, the cove bay is swimmable when the sea is less rough. Some coral and fish here, we did snorkel and you can sea turtles. The hotel beach bar / restaurant has good food. We had the b&b options, one of everything off the breakfast list. Dried French bread jams and butter, egg (how you like them), fruit salad, yogart, a ham and cheese sandwich (good for lunch). The pool is busy at weekend. We hailed the local bus at the roundabout into Santa Maria, €1.

The location was really good. Far from tourist trap like Santa Maria, but still in a close proximity by bus provided by the hotel free of charge twice a day. Staff at the reception was ready to help, organised our pick up from and to the airport. Pool was big and was cleaned everyday. Exceptional beaches, clean and empty. Dinners offer good selection of different daily dishes.

We stayed here as we had a 3am flight in. We wanted to relax before heading to Santa Maria. It was excellent. Quiet. Long walks along the coast. Hidden beach bays. Plus a short walk to the boat restaurant which has excellent margaritas 🍹 The pool was gorgeous. We were out of season so not many people. Fantastic little beach side cafe next door. They were renovating the restaurant, so check before if this is important for you. The pool bar / food was open. You can rent an electric bike at reception.

If you like peace and quiet, and want to enjoy sun, sea and beach without the hustle and bustle of Santa Maria than this is definitely the place to go to. Only a 10 minute drive from the airport, the small resort with temporary and permanent residents sits around a protected natural bay.

An absolutely wonderful time at this property. The staff were some of the best ever. Extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating to all our requests. They went well over and beyond what is usually expected. The property was cleaned every day with fresh towels and linen when necessary. Not too far from the ocean. Lovely pools and restaurant facilities. It’s a really lovely place to totally relax and chill out. It comes highly recommended.
