OK for a night but was a bit run down and there was a bit of shouting down the hall at one stage. I could also feel the springs in the mattress, so didn’t sleep the best. The man at reception seemed nice. Beechworth is a lovely little town.

The motel was quite interesting it used to be an old hospital. I found the rooms to be good my bed was very comfortable.

Good points - ok rooms, very clean, great on site staff, lovely grounds and it is a quaint place with some history (old nurses quarters), price was OK. Not good , photos on booking.com are misleading, the regular rooms don't look like this, it is up hill outside the main retail area, you need a car to get around, there is no good accessible access, WiFi did not work in the rooms, there is no aircon in the rooms, rooms are ok but tired/aged, pillows desperately need replacing and mattress is not well padded. Cutlery was provided but plates were paper style.

Check in was easy. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Staff friendliness made our stay feel relaxed and easy. The room was clean and had everything I needed. Charming art deco building. Amongst some beautiful old trees. The property is quite lovely.

The very spacious room; the shared, airy lounge two doors away, opening on to a balcony; the quiet hilltop location in a park, surrounded by trees. We also liked the art deco building. Though the original carpets still seem to be in place, it's no problem as everything else is clean and comfortable. The park is interesting to wander. The manager is friendly, talkative, helpful and nothing is too much bother.

I booked it out of curiosity as it is a former nurses quarters. I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was. Loved my stay. I was greeted by Deano the caretaker and he really went out of his way to make sure I had a great stay. Will definately be back.
