the room was on the ground floor away from the restaurant, the wet room was well equipped, the access to the room after hours was straight forward and the hotel was opposite the railway station as we needed to get to a venue in Elmers End.

Although we had to wait to be seen on arrival, the staff were very helpful - Isobel - and helped us sort out a taxi needed for the next day. We ate in the carvery and the food was very tasty and presentable , good to see the pork crackling made available.

We had a ground floor room at back of property and were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was at night . Very needed after busy day at work . Comfortable beds .
