I'll start what we did like - the staff. They were really nice, polite and always smiling. Upon request they changed our room. Why did they have to our room? Buckle up. + STAFF + SPACIOUS ROOM + COMFY BED

A haven of tranquility in the city. Authentic colonial building and furniture. Staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast.

Beautiful tranquil place oozing with French colonial charm. Breakfast was amazing. The staff wonderful, attentive and so cheerful. The pool area was beautiful set in lovely gardens, lie back by the pool and enjoy the bird song. Amazing stay and will have to return one day.

Pool is a lovely secluded corner and the house is a beautiful old French colonial property. The decision to make only a handful of bedrooms leave the rooms a lovely size but rather sparsely furnished. The room felt a bit like an office with a bed in it (lovely bed, mind you!). But the staff were great, nothing too much trouble, the building is beautiful, the kittens adorable. Excellent value for money but definitely not 5 star. If you want character and history, stay here rather than a dull room in a chain hotel.

The ambulance was lovely. Beautiful high ceilings, 4-poster beds and vintage floor tiles. Outstanding service. They sent on my forgotten sandals with no fuss at all.
