The fine print
Due to the structure of the building, the Old Mill Hotel does not have a lift. Wheelchair access is only available in the Rolling Mill restaurant. Parking is subject to availability and cannot be reserved. For advance purchase reservations, the credit card used for the reservation needs to be shown upon arrival. If this is not possible, a third party authorisation form, copy of ID and copy of the credit card needs to be sent to the property prior to arrival. In the event of an early departure, the property will charge you the full amount for your stay.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

The 'basic' room (in the annex) was very clean and the bathroom was totally fine even though it was very small. Breakfast in the main hotel was really good, plentiful and a good selection. We had the full English and really enjoyed it. The hotel looks a bit tired in places which is a shame as the location is great for Bath town centre and there is a lovely working mill wheel in the garden outside the window of the dining room. The lady on reception (with the pinky red hair) was lovely and very helpful. Reception was busy and stressful when we arrived due to other customers not reading their emails properly and not being aware that there is a £30 refundable deposit for damages - she dealt with all this in a calm and polite manner.

The main part of the Hotel was lovely but be careful that you don't get put in the Lodge "annexe". It's a beautiful location with amazing views and the staff were lovely and helpful. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. I recommend the omelette for breakfast 😋. For a quiet weekend getaway, it is ideal. I LOVED watching people pay their tolls into a little cup held by the 2 attendants and watching the river and the mill wheel.

Very cosy and comfy stay. Walking around the over and surrounds in the morning was beautiful. Easy to catch the bus into the main centre (20 minutes).

Everything was perfect for us, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was amazing, In fact, they made a mistake with our reservation for the restaurant, it wasn't meant to open on New year's eve, but they got us a chef and he came and cooked for us that night. In a nutshell, they will go above and beyond for the customers, we highly recommend.

Quick and easy check in/out. Clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Decent shower. Good WiFi. Lovely location, not far from the canal path. Good price considering the above. Stayed in October and weather was rubbish but the outdoor area looks lovely for nice weather.
