The fine print
The credit/debit card used to book a pre-paid rate must be presented to reception on arrival at the hotel. Please note that failure to do so will result in an alternative payment method being required.Spa treatments are available at an additional fee and must be booked in advance. Spa facilities including the pool are limited and need to be booked prior to arrival at the hotel to avoid disappointment.Children up to 16 years old can use the swimming pool between 8:00 to 11:00 and 15:00 to 18:00 within the designated children's lanes and must be accompanied by an adult. Children do not have access to the Thermal Suite and Hydro Pool.Hotel Residents: access to the leisure facilities are allowed from 12:00 on the day of arrival until 11:00 on the day of departure. An exception to this is if you have a spa treatment booked before 12:00 on day of arrival or 11:00 on day of departure.Day spa guests: access to the leisure facilities are allowed up to a maximum of 90 minutes both before and after spa treatments.For dinner-included rates, a GBP 30 voucher per person will be provided for a la carte menu.Please note that dogs are permitted in ground-floor rooms at a charge of GBP 20 per room per night. The room was fine however, in my view, and if I compare price/quality with 4 star-hotels (this one was 5 stars) I have stayed in, especially abroad, I would say that there were small details missing essentially in the bathroom.

Our stay was lovely, we were celebrating a birthday, they had put a card and some chocolates in the room. The facilities were great, spa and treatment was perfect. Staff very courteous and smiley.

Great building, beautiful grounds, lovely rooms nice tea in the rooms - but very slow service in bar and restaurant. A few cracks in veneer - they said delays were because it was mother's day. Wonder if they're feeling the squeeze? The extra upgrade pushes etc - and the £15 for garden view a joke - view on all rooms good charging more seems a bit desperate. Lovely place to stay - be a shame for poor service and overpriced/below standard breakie to be the reason to start to lose customers

The location was perfect and we walked into Bath both days. The swimming pool and spa were excellent.

The hotel is getting tired and needs a refresh. There are chipped baths, frayed carpets and toilets that do not flush correctly. The leisure spa facilities are especially tired with tiles missing and a general air of neglect.

Lovely hotel although we got switched rooms at 10:30pm due to window failing to close and heating failing to work so was very cold

We love the hotel generally and the beautiful grounds and proximity to town. The room was nice, bed comfortable. Was disappointed not to have conditioner in our bathroom. Also our towel rail did not heat up so towels were damp! I felt the spa was very tired particularly the tiles around outside pool. Could do with a good revamp or clean up. Also not a huge amount of choice at breakfast. We had to wait 15 minutes just for toast and service was slow when it wasn’t that busy.

What an absolute treat! Minutes from Bath city centre, the staff were so lovely ❤️. This hotel and spa is just fabulous. The setting is beautiful and the service is exceptional. I would highly, highly recommend! 😀
