Overnight stop heading back to LA from Grand Canyon., Booked 2 rooms for 2 couples. Checked in a few hours after actual check in time. Lady at reception was friendly. Rooms were mostly in clean condition. We had some drink cans left on our window from previous guest. But overall stay was good. Check out time was 11am, we started loading our car around 10.50am followed by our other family members next door. They didnt expect the owner to knock loudly on their door "11am Checkout time!" which is a first for us ever at any accommodation. We were in our car 11.03am leaving the venue.

Route 66 motel is just that, a motel on route! The check in was quick,nice girl, the room was large, bed large and comfortable. Good laminate floor. Fridge and coffee maker. Tv. No decorations at all in room, a bit boring..expected something route 66… Room 115 was in a corner, street outside, but surprisingly quiet. Parking outside. Area outside had some route 66 decor, but less than expected. The area did not feel great to walk around at night.. Barstow is a sleepy town, the route 66 museum is closed, unfortunately. The motel was good for the price and for one night.

This is just what it says, a typical motel style bed for the night. Basic, limited facilities, but you get what you pay for and you know what to expect. The fun part is the collection of old cars and other Route 66 memorabilia which make this motel just a bit more funky than the others in Barstow. It’s nothing special but no complaints.

The hotel was perfectly placed for our needs, the receptionist was lovely, helpful and professional, and our room had a modern feel to it. We loved the old cars and Old 66 theme too.

Great little motel , The room was clean and the bathroom modern . Parking was right outside the room. Within easy walking distance to restaurants and fast food places. I also liked the quirky Route 66 memorabilia in the parking lot

The bed was comfortable and I loved the shower gel and schampoo. The location was good and easy to find, and I really liked the “exterior design”.

Quirky Motel located right on Route 66. Bedroom and Bathroom were comfortable and the air con worked well if a little noisy. My motorcycle was parked safely right outside my room no issues. Staff very friendly. Liquor store/mini market across the street. Shortish ride to Peggy Sues 50's diner. Coffee in the room.
