This is the second time we’ve stayed whilst travelling north/south and back as it’s ideal for us as it’s very dog friendly. The staff are great and the rooms are just what we need.

“Superb value for money, excellent location and a surprisingly wide and varied menu for a pub.”
22 Feb 2025
Fantastic huge bed, amazing food selection in the bar which was excellent value for money and unexpectedly wide ranging in choice - I had the veggi biryani and it was top notch. Breakfast was great. Locals were chatty and friendly. Old pub so quirky decor and some need for a bit of a repaint and hiding of some of the pub's 'stuff', but hey, so much more homely than a Travel Lodge

“Had a very comfortable stay, room cosy and warm, had everything I needed and lovely breakfast”

“Great we would stay again.”

Comfortable clean room and friendly efficient staff.

“January stay”
11 Jan 2025
The staff and food are excellent. The room was vast, and it needs some TLC, obviously hindered by the Grade II listing. Staff went above and beyond.
