Beautiful hotel room with lots of room for the kids in the family suite. Very clean and everything was functional. Breakfast was brought up to the room in the morning which was an added bonus we didn’t know about before check in so that was really helpful instead of lugging the children downstairs on time then back up to collect our belongings before check out. Staff were helpful and very friendly. We did know there would be a live band on downstairs in advance and weren’t bothered about this but other families may want to check the venues social media to double check this as it was very loud. We will 100% stay here again for our next trip to Barmouth as it was great value for money and we can’t fault it. We also didn’t realise until we booked but it’s a dog friendly hotel. We didn’t bring our dog this time but usually do on weekends away so it’s good that we can bring her here too.

Downstairs is a lovely pub. Great food and selection of beers, ciders on draught. Breakfast was excellent. Located on the main road, full of shops, cafes etc. Short walk to the beach. Staff very friendly. Room was very clean. Sunday is a busy night in the pub. Happy hour and karaoke. Something to be aware of as obviously it’s not going to be quiet outside until late if windows are open. Windows are good at blocking noise though.

Great location, all staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was spacious. Beautiful furniture, bed was amazing! Breakfast was perfect. The Royal just has an all round 'feel good' factor.

The breakfast was incredibly generous and the staff were lovely. The rooms are charming as is the bar/restaurant space. Very originally decorated, with some lovely well thought out pieces on display.
