The Sunsetview is one of the best places I have ever stayed in - quiet, serene, and beautiful. It is located in front of the Elephant Breeding Centre in Bardiya, and is a walking distance from the river, where you can see the elephants bathing on their way back from the jungle to the breeding centre. The short trail from the property to Thakurdwara - the nearest town - is straight out of a Ruskin Bond story, with a sparkling creek and countless, towering trees to give you company. The property is hosted by Pramesh and Noémie, who are wonderful hosts - kind, caring, and always up for a conversation. The food cooked by Chef Amrit is delicious and homely. And thanks to Aneet, our stay in Sunsetview was seamless and extremely comfortable.

Amazing hotel with super confortable huts. The location is great, very quiet, and particularly cozy (large bed, table with chair, lots of space, large bathroom with hot water, etc ...). The hosts, Pramesh & Noémie, pay a great attention to transform your stay into a nice experience. And the two other team members are super friendly, attentionate and knowledgeable (Tharu culture). In summary, a great time in Bardia, and I strongly recommend the place if you are not looking just for a hotel room. Food is also nice, btw !

The amazing Nepalese/French couple who own and run this place were the most fantastic hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience, drawing you right into the heart of their lives. At the same time, the owner Pramesh, along with his just as skilled driver and also certified safari guide (2 for ones price), offers tours that surpass any expertise in the field. Together, the two can track down plenty of wildlife in the jungle. At this place, you are truly in good and safe hands. Additionally, this is a place that puts great effort into giving back to the surrounding community. This stay was nothing short of AMAZING.

The lodges/cottages are beautifully decorated, big comfortable beds, hot shower en suite - rooms couldn’t be better. The food’s fantastic, served in a nice open air common lodge/bar area, Naomi makes some pretty mean cocktails as well which feels extra luxurious after a long day hiking around the park spotting animals. It’s run by a Nepali-French couple who are excellent hosts and give a really unique, honest perspective on Nepali culture and tourism. Guides were great, wildlife was great, everything 10/10

Staying at Sunsetview was one of the highlights of my trip to Nepal! The place is lovely, in the middle of a beautiful village next to the National Park. The rooms are so cosy I could sleep for hours! The owners make this place even more special. The way the run it, with shared dinners, delicious food, super good vibes, etc. makes you feel at home! I also have to mention how incredible the safari they offered was! The experience and passion of the guides for the wild life lead us to see so many animals, a tiger too!

A true little gem amongst many bigger places around Bardiya. Small, very friendly and the staff are very attentive to needs from the guests. Food very good. Rooms are excellent, safaris run by the owner are world class!

I had an amazing stay here, thanks to the lovely staff and the delicious food. Moreover the place is super new and clean. I also recommend taking the jeep and walking safari with them, it was an unforgettable experience.

It is a little gem in Bardiya, very cosy and well decorated. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfy. The staff is super friendly and the food was great. I really enjoyed my stay.
