Amazing terrace and friendly staff, but unfortunately, the bed was quite small for two people—about 160 cm wide—which made it really uncomfortable. Another issue was the valet parking service. At checkout, my friend and I had to pick up our car ourselves, carrying our luggage down to the -1 floor. When we asked, we were told the valet was on lunch. While we understand this, it doesn’t feel fair to charge for valet parking if the service isn’t fully provided. Is that unreasonable? It’s the first time I’ve experienced something like this.

We had a beautiful terrace in the room. The roof to bar was lovely. The location excellent. For breakfast there were so many options.

1) Hotel has a very modern look and feel to it so you feel your living in luxury for the price you are paying. 2) Very Centrally located - easy access to all the trips throughout the day. 3) Lots of Restaurant and Cafe/Bars Close by.

We have stayed in many hotels, always travel with a dog (25 kg), and usually book 4 stars, sometimes 5. Although Gran Hotel Calderon in Barcelona has 5 stars, it still stands out very positively compared to others . When we arrived we were greeted with champagne and our dog was given a bottle of mineral water. We received a room upgrade. Our car - a Toyota bus with a height of approx. 2m - was driven by the hotel staff into a directly adjacent underground car park because the hotel's garage is limited to a height of 1.8m. Our dog was given a bed with a bowl in the room, and a toy for him was not forgotten. We were allowed to sit with our dog in the restaurant, which is directly adjacent to the breakfast room, because the tables in the breakfast room are relatively narrow and dogs are therefore not allowed there. The breakfast buffet is a dream and can't be beaten in terms of variety. The rooftop bar offers a fantastic view over Barcelona with music that you would want for such a place and the cocktails taste really good. There is no need to mention that everything is very clean and that every wish is fulfilled almost before you have expressed it. The stay was a pleasure from start to finish.
