We stayed 3 nights in a log cabin. The cabin was nice and quiet, but really small and somewhat oldfashioned, but according to a staff member this is what most bookers are looking for. I think the photos on booking.com convey a little more comfort than there actually is, e.g. the bed is along a wall, so that one of us always had to climb over the other to get out. The bathroom is small and dark, oldfashioned. Again, apparently people love it. There was no breakfast, only free coffee and a few pastries which sold at about $3.50 each - in view of the room rates a notch above par (bogey). We did not eat at the restaurant, because it had to be pre-booked and the timing was not good (I think it was 6-8.30pm - the best time for a photographer). So we had to eat at extremely loud and busy Banff, 30 minutes away. All in all it was an okay stay for us, but for the price I would have expected more. I guess you pay extra money because its Banff NP.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Storm Mountain Lodge and Bungalows with an amazing multi-course gourmet dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. Staff were helpful and welcoming and the cabin itself was cozy with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed a fire in the wood fireplace in our cabin in the evening. We also ordered the take-out breakfast and hiker's lunch the next morning.

Room was very cute and cozy. We used the fireplace at night since it was so cool but the room did have proper heating. The coffee and homemade snacks in theodge were amazing. As was the food in the restaurant. Definitely a favorite of the trip! If you can get a reservation I would do it in advance (all booked for us) but we got take out to eat in our cabin which was just as good 🙂
