Staff were super friendly and got our room upgraded to an ensuite which was great. On location facilities like the cafe and bar were really nice and the communal kitchen was also great.

This is a spacious and comfortable campsite. The common areas are great for relaxing—you can play board games, read, or even work in small rooms equipped with desks. There’s also a bar in the basement where you can play pool and enjoy a beer. Occasionally, the hostel organizes activities, giving visitors the chance to connect, have fun, and meet new friends. The hygiene is impressive. Despite people constantly coming and going, the facilities—including the bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry—were always clean whenever I used them. The hostel is located away from downtown, allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty of Banff in peace. My roommates were very polite and made an effort to keep quiet, even when returning late at night. I was lucky to have such considerate and respectful roommates. Overall, I enjoyed the trip in Hi Banff~

- Banff public transit passes are included. - Close to beautiful trails for hikes. - Easygoing and helpful staff. - Great views of the surrounding mountains. - Parking lot with many spots (p.s.: I travelled during low season) - Good bed, sheets, etc.

Very much enjoyed staying at HI Banff. Nice hostel and staff. The cafe on side was great and had good food options. You can get free puplic transport tickets for the bus or walk a couple of minutes down the road into the city centre. Parking available as well. All in all great hostel. I woud stay here again.

Basement rooms are small, but beds are comfy. Kitchen is well equipped and dining room is big enough. Terrace is nice with great views and cafe has affordable coffee. Hostel gives a free ticket for all local buses and I do recommend taking all buses: to Minnewanka lake, Sulphur mountains, etc All locations are worth visiting. Nice hikes start nearby.

The staff were so great and helped with any issues. The y gave me lots of ideas for hikes in the local area, loaned me bear spray and were available 24hrs to answer any questions. I also had a very noisy sleeper above me for several nights and they were able to move me rooms.

We always love staying at the Hi Banff. The staff and atmosphere makes the place feel like home. And the food at Cougar Pete's is always a treat. Our favourite this time was the chicken caesar wrap.

This hostel was very cozy and warm. There were many comfortable chairs for lounging. Restaurant was affordable and served good meals. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
