Great location for visiting family in the village at Christmas. Very large comfortable room with lots of little extras, fruit juice, crisps, fruit etc. excellent tea/coffee station. Large bathroom with underfloor heating.

Friendly, helpful and approachable staff. Very nice food. Battered hake was lovely, and whilst we were advised that the pie would be ham and leek and a steak pie was served, that was, nevertheless, also very nice. Staff arranged for ice cream to be served with pancake on our final day, and couldn’t fault the smoked salmon on sourdough toast with scrambled egg. Good selection of gin and good-quality range of tonics at the bar. Vegetarian options of hash browns, tomatoes, baked beans, eggs appreciated at breakfast.
