We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Friars Quarter House in Ballinrobe! From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. Every morning, we were treated to a selection of complimentary fresh fruits, teas, and coffee, along with delicious Walkers biscuits—a lovely touch! The owners were incredibly accommodating, even allowing us to prepare eggs in the microwave and enjoy our meals in their cosy lounge. The house itself is peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, who are truly kind and friendly, going out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a serene and hospitable place to stay in Ballinrobe, we highly recommend Friars Quarter House. We would definitely return!

It felt like home! Orla and her mum Breege made us feel so welcome. Our room upstairs was cosy and it was nice to be able to make a cup of tea. The beds were so comfortable. Parking was easy. Mum and I wished we could have stayed longer. Highlight of our holiday.

This is a splendid traditional home, comfortable and warm. The house is easy to find and has good parking. We were greeted kindly and without formality. This is a relaxed place to stay. We had a key and could let ourselves in and out as we needed.

We liked everything. No complaints whatsoever. Would love to return when the weather is better and look around the gardens. The house is beautiful and has a natural warm feeling that you get as soon as you walk in the door. Of course, the family are the same-genuinely warm and friendly. We woke feeling very refreshed in the morning having had a great sleep on a really good mattress and the most comfortable pillows.
