There was a lot to appreciate about my stay at Almare including the location, pet friendly, overall appearance and room cost. The aesthetics of the room were pleasing and the bed was very comfortable, however, I got bitten by something during the night on both nights and therefore did not sleep well. As I left early morning when departing, I wrote a note to advise the manager Erin asking for him to check for bed bugs or fleas (I had a pet friendly room), however it has been very disappointing that I have not heard anything in response via phone and/or email. I would recommend this motel but I would advise to check bed thoroughly to ensure there are no bed bugs or other nasties.

Could not fault the place. Erin was really lovely and friendly. Gave us good advice about where to eat and explore. Very comfortable beds, clean room, good water pressure, quiet location. Designated carpark right outside your door.

Quiet, clean and very comfortable room. Staff very friendly and great being able to find accommodation that is pet friendly. 2 min drive to dog beach and lovely restaurants. Price and location reflected cost.

The rooms were clean and tidy and the staff were excellent and couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful..will definitely be staying here again when back down this way.location is great and easy to get to .

Very nice place, great hospitality staff of very friendly. Location was great on the main street of Ballina very good place to just rest your head before you carry on the long trip.
