My experience at Hostal Zopilote was amazing. The place is surrounded by nature and has a unique vibe. They offer a wide variety of activities, from yoga classes in a breathtaking setting to workshops events that make every day special. The hostel's restaurant is another highlight: the food is delicious, organic, and made with fresh ingredients, turning every meal into a treat. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help with anything, which really makes you feel at home. Plus, the location is ideal if you're planning to explore Ometepe Island. From the hostel, it's easy to organize the hike to Maderas Volcano, which is an unforgettable adventure with stunning views and a unique connection to nature. Hostal Zopilote is much more than just a place to stay: it's an experience that combines relaxation, adventure, great food, and a sense of community.

It’s hard to give it a rating in booking because it’s an ecological farm. I loved it! Compost toilets, outdoor shower, an amazing vegan (some of it is farm to table) kitchen, free yoga every morning and lots of lots of good beautiful people and plenty of activities. If you know ecological leaving or want to experience it I recommend.

I liked that the hostel is surrounded by greenery, the permaculture project is really interesting and the hostel organizes so many different activities every day! The free yoga in the morning really appreciated and the hostel is so big that you can walk a lot and reach even a small viewpoint The hostel is about 20 min walk from the road but the path to get there is well-maintained and very easy to follow

The most wonderful and magical place to stay on the island if you are a nature lover. The place is great, in the middle of the jungle, the staff are wonderful, food is so tasty. They organise daily activities such as yoga, cacao ceremonies, permaculture tour etc. It’s a eco sustainable place, japanease showers, and know that you are surrounded by nature, so it is what it is, if you look for a fancy place it’s not here, but if you look for authenticity, to learn from Chris the owner who is super knowledgeable and grow everything here, it’s the place. Great vibe! Beds are confortable and clean- they have muskito nets you have to use :-) I highly recommend, and I am definitely coming

I love that everything is so natural and beautiful. The place is full of life and the jungle is right at the door. The food is delicious and the vibe is so welcoming. I love pizza night and all the great workshops on the schedule. It is truly a special place and I can recommend it to everyone who wants an experience for life! It is also the perfect place for people who care about the environment since permaculture is so sustainable.

I loved everything about this place, highly recommend the Permaculture Tour to learn the reason to every detail. It felt great to know that I were staying in a solar powered, water saving, farm to table hostel and that my being a tourist was not harming Ometepe Island. Hoped that I could always choose place like this during my travels... The highlights for me were: - Gorgeous green nature everywhere - Food - salads!!! Finally good some greens! - Pizza - Compost toilets - Natural buildings - Yoga classes
