Thanks to our discussion with our host we realized this place was cute and funky. Lots or original art work on the walls everywhere. This appears to be a terrific spot for younger people to stay, especially if they are into music. Our experience was quiet but we learned there had been a big music concert there in the week before our visit which explained why there were packages of ear plugs available n the bathroom. There is no dining room here but they have an arrangement with what appeared to be the best hotel in town where we could go for meals at a discounted rate. The food and service there was excellent.

Perfect large room overlooking the fjord. Very good value for money - the hotel is basic but really comfortable, spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely. We had the subsidised breakfast at the Kviknes hotel on one day, which was excellent, and the delicioius fresh croissants and coffee/tea provided free by the Balestrand hotel on the other day. The hotel is very well positioned near the boats and has a lovely garden.

Clean and modern property with stunning views of the fjord. The artwork throughout was wonderful and the staff were friendly and attentive. The lobby was a vibe and the coffee and croissants were yummy!

Free and chill environment, lot of table games, biliard table for free, tasty croissants for breakfast and free coffee, very friendly with animal

Great view on the fjord and you can go swimming right in front of the hotel. Many interesting hikes accessible by foot. We did Raudmelen but the weather was not good to do Keipen as well. There is a nice common area and staff is really helpful, offering to keep your things in the fridge and preparing hot water if you want to make a simple dinner.

There was something lovely about this place! Very cordial welcome and croissants and coffee for breakfast if we wanted. Situated so we could easily find somewhere to eat. The local was very peaceful. The rooms were basic but functional.
