Hugo and Caterina are great hosts, you truly feel at home in Captain's Log, and the location is perfect (walking distance to the beach restaurants, etc)

The surf vibe is here. Everybody was so nice, I am not even sure who was from the staff. You can store your surfboard in the cabin that is closed for the night. Rooms were clean and we had no problem. We were on the highest floor that has separate room with nice view on the ocean.

Orla was a star helping me check in and making sure I had everything I needed. The facilities were fantastic, and you could really tell the owners Hugo and Caterina really cared about the place. It's a shame I couldn't stay longer - they are just too popular and were fully booked!

Where to start? The staff (Ali and the volunteers) are very welcoming. Great vibes in the house and the garden with all the guests. Feels like a family. We had dinner together almost every evening. The house is cleaned well and the beds are comfortable. Very cool, colourful decorations, even on the ceilings. Between waves checks, surf sessions (beach literally around the corner), walks on the cliffs it was just so nice to chill here. People were able to work remotely here. It's such a pity to leave, but will be back (probably soon).

Everything - everything at Captain's is great. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, the staff are super friendly, there's an epic rooftop that you can watch sunrise / sunset from. It's walking distance to surf beaches, cafes, supermarket and surf shops if you need to rent boards. I will always try and stay here when travelling to Portugal. Absolutely love it

Super nice owners and volunteers. Was a pleasure to stay at Captains. Everything was clean, the kitchen had everything you need and the rental boards were nice. The garden is the perfect place to relax, sunbathe, play table tennis, beach tennis, read a book or spend a creative afternoon. Everything from booking, checking in, renting the boards and checking out was super easy.
