Location and appartment spirit is special. It was an old hotel which was converted into appartment wihout changing it much.

The location of the apartment was amazing! We were on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the town and could hear the relaxing sound of the waterfall in the centre of Bad Gastein, which was so relaxing. The actually building was an old early 20th century grand hotel which has been converted into apartments (some holiday rental, others normal apartments). So the atmosphere inside this grand hotel is kind of strange, 'fading' glory would be one way of describing it, but a really interesting feeling to imagine all the rich and famous people stating there in the 1900s- 1930s. The apartment itself was decorated tastefully, just white walls, no pictures and the furniture was in keeping with the time period. There was a kitchen unit in the room (the main room was the bedroom and living area combined with the kitchen, unit also there) which had doors so you could close it when you didn't need it. But this facility was great, as then we could make some meals and save some money. It was great to have a balcony and a bath tub!
