Good location that is about a 10 min walk to the main town square and one block from the harbour. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Friendly owner.

Wonderful location and extremely helpful and friendly staff (even far before arrival). Breakfast was excellent and very reasonably priced. A short walk from the town square with lots going on in an evening. Cute animals on site 🐈‍⬛️

The space is beautiful, comfortable and in the Caribbean spirit. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast, although charged extra, is well worth it. The room is spacious and the hotel is well located. Tip: it's worth going to eat at Mr Taco

Everything! The hotel was absolutely lovely. The staff are so welcoming and warm and happy to help at any time. They had very cute pets!! The room was clean and had a good amount of space. Location couldn't have been better, with lots of places to eat and very close to the lagoon! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back here if we come back to Bacalar.

The hotel was really nice and quirky, lots of fun decor around. The location was very good, just a few minutes to the centre and the waterfront. The rooms were spacious, really comfy big bed and decent showers. There is free tea and coffee available as well as filtered water which is a nice touch! The staff are really friendly and accommodating.

Casa Chukum is a very special place. The staff are exceptional and treat you like friends. Debbie even gave us a lift to the bus on our last morning. It has a very pretty garden with a pool. Ground floor rooms open directly into the garden. We had the end room upstairs (room 14) and there were internal stairs from the room up to the roof terraces with views to the lake. We had breakfast a couple of times and it was very good. It's an easy walk to the lagoon. We went to the eco park, a wide boardwalk with wonderful swimming. 20 pesos to enter.
