Graydale “A surprisingly stylish hotel and a great stopover near Córdoba”

The external appearance of Hostal Jiménez hides the elegance of the interior of this lovely property. The corridors and staircase are beautifully decorated and filled with lovely paintings, furnishings and exquisite displays of furniture and pottery. There is plenty of parking on this section of Calle Muñoz Torero during most of the day and I parked opposite the hotel. You book in at the owner’s computer shop next door and are provided with keys to your room and the front door. The room was comfortable with all the usual en-suite facilities plus a fridge-freezer. Breakfast & meals are not offered at the hostal but there is a microwave and tea/coffee making facilities in an area of the landing. A bar & lovely restaurant, La Dehesa, can be found on the adjoining street opposite Parque Cervantes. There’s not a great deal to see in Azuaga but it was a lovely hotel in which to stay on my way to Córdoba. Recommended.
