Guest houses Overview

Located in a quiet oceanfront area on the island of Averøy, this former Bacalao (salt modified and dried cod) factory has been restored into a rustic guesthouse. The brightly decorated studio apartments tell you the ancient history of the building. The rooms come with views of the Atlantic Ocean from French balconies. Kristiansund town center is 10km away. The Atlantic Ocean Road is 25km away.
Breakfast service daily from May 1st to September 30th. A continental buffet breakfast is included in the price for these dates. Our restaurant is also open Tuesdays-Sundays between June 15th to August 31th (closed on Mondays).
Our restaurant offers a three-course menu with a selection of local flavors that reflect the rich culinary heritage of our region. It is also possible to have something else than a full 3-course dinner. Averøys location secures ingredients from the sea and agriculture that are world-class. Dinner is served at 19:00 and is pre-ordered either by phone, at the time of booking or check-in. Don't forget to tell us about allergies.
Start the experience with a selection of ingredients from the sea that surrounds us. Alternatively, you can choose a selection of cured meats.
Reservations are recommended and we suggest booking a table no later than 7:00pm.

The guesthouse offers complimentary Wi-Fi.
The nearby ocean offers excellent nature experiences, fishing opportunities and other sea activities. The on-site Kroa Bar serves beverages when our staff is on-site.

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, this spacious room features original wooden beams, a seating area and an electric kettle. The king size bed will make you sleep listening to the swell from the Atlantic Ocean.

This double room is at the attic and has smaller French balcony doors than the Apartments with sea view. Queen size bed and private bathroom.

Apartment with Sea View - enter dates to see room photos

This apartment features a tea/coffee maker, kitchenware and microwave. Please note that the double bed can be separated to two singel beds upon request. If you want a specific room, please let us know beforehand.

Boasting a private entrance, this apartment also includes 1 living room, 2 separate bedrooms and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower. The well-fitted kitchen has a stovetop, a refrigerator, a dishwasher and kitchenware. Among the room amenities are a tea and coffee maker, a seating area, a dining area as well as a patio and mountain views. The unit has 4 beds.

The studio features a private entrance and soundproof walls, as well as a private bathroom boasting a walk-in shower. The hosts (Pablo and Caro) were great! From the moment we stepped into the guest house, we got the very warm welcome from Pablo, who walked us around the property and shared his travel stories with us (when we are like minded travellers around the world!). We are very glad to find this place - it was special in offering such a unique experience staying next to the charming water (and only if we could stay for more nights!). Overall, the place is clean, cosy and close to nature. We can’t ask for more!
