Host extremely friendly and gave us good recommendations what to visit in town. Room was small, but comfortable and cozy. Very good wifi-connection. House is nicely decorated in an old-fashioned style, atmosphere simple and feel-at-home. There is a big garden which we could use. Breakfast was excellent. Close to downtown and yet in a calm area, away from the hustle and bustle. I highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Strickland. Sandy’s breakfast was lovely and the room was very quaint. The location is really convenient and quiet. The house was very British and we felt very at home.

The property was so quirky it was like stepping back in time . Everything we needed was thought of . We loved sitting around the table at breakfast with the other travellers . Loved the books full of the houses history that were available for us to read .

We had a great stay at Strickland's. The house is a beautiful historic landmark in a very nice Austin neighborhood (Hyde Park), and the Stricklands did everything to make us feel at home, even having a mobile petting zoo on the day of our arrival (OK, I admit, it was for their granddaughter's birthday, but still great). Sandy's homemade biscuits for breakfast are a real treat. We'll be back the next time we travel to Austin!
