The fine print
Please note that The Chancellor on Hobson requires NZD 250 credit card pre-authorization or cash deposit upon check-in to cover any incidental charges. This will be collected by credit card, debit card or cash. You will be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full by the same method of deposit payment, subject to an inspection of the room. Pre-Authorisations - Under normal circumstances, banks should be releasing this hold when the pre-authorisation has been cancelled by us. Occasionally some banks are unable to release the hold immediately and may reflect on your account for 4 - 7 working days (depending on the bank of issue). The hold will then automatically disappear from your account meaning you would not see money coming in - the pending transaction would go away.
Guests are required to provide a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. We do not accept credit card/debit card payments over the phone.

We had a great stay. They let us checked in earlier and checked out later and I thank the staffs that let us stay longer. The location was perfect just walking distance from everything and safe. We also had a chance to use the sauna and swimming pool. 3 nights stay in this hotel wasn’t enough, definitely going back here. And also met and made friends from the residents here.

Lovely large balcony area with amazing view of Auckland sky tower. Great size apartment & fantastic comfortable bed. Loved the large TV on the desk & nice leather desk chair. Baggage storage wasn't a problem & nice, friendly professional staff on reception.

Our favorite place to stay in Auckland. Easy location to find, undercover car parking, walking distance to City & Viaduct area. Great pool, spa & gym area & staff are amazing.

Great location in the city centre, easy to find and a short walk to Britomart, Spark Arena, the Waterfront, Sky Tower and down town. Amazing pool, spa and small gym area - all available to use. Room was great for a 1 night stay with good small kitchen facilities.
