Location is too good, staff is great and check in/out is easy and quick. Overall it's pretty clean and well maintained compared to other hostels. Private rooms are quite spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately the walls are like paper so it can feel like you're in the same room than your neighbor. Very little privacy. Only one shower for a whole floor was maybe not enough. It's freezing cold in the room and the whole floor. Temperature set at 20° I'm used to 30°+ so was very cold for me 😅 Overall I would rebook again, it was all good for a affordable hostels in Auckland 👍

+ The place was reasonably clean and well maintained, of course it's not the newest of buildings but it's perfectly fine. + It was rather quiet in the room, not much noise from other rooms or outside - There is not a lot of space for dining and cooking, so when you hit the "rush hours" it's kind of a problem. - Mechanical ventilation works all the time in rooms and it gets cold

Really good value-for-money hostel. We had to change rooms because we didn’t book in advance, and the second room was quite dirty (dirty sheets, etc.). However, they cleaned it right away when I mentioned it. The staff is super nice, except for one French lady who ruined the overall impression. She was extremely rude and had no sense of professionalism. It's sad that people like this work in the hotel industry, especially in a country where job opportunities like fruit picking are everywhere.

As an older traveller who has stayed in many Back Packer over the years it was what I expected. Single room with shared Bathroom so nothing fancy. In need of a bathroom make over but for 1night it was ok. It was surprisingly quiet, not alot of noise. The location was great bused from the Airport so a short walk to Choice.

I stayed in a single room. The key didn’t work, and I needed a little trick to get it open. At first, I was flustered because it wouldn’t turn no matter how much I tried. I asked the front desk for help, so make sure to learn from that. The location in the city is convenient for transportation, and there are plenty of shops nearby, making it easy to do some market shopping. However, there was some noise at night due to construction in the area, and the building is quite old, so there was a bit of a smell. Other than that, it was a very pleasant accommodation.

Great stay, would visit again. Everything (location, facilities, service) was good. If light bulbs all changed from cool white to warm white then it will be perfect.
