Clean, beautifully decorated guest house situated in a beautiful garden. They came to meet us at the ferry and helped with our luggage, even though our train was late and arrived early morning.

The staff were absolutely wonderful, welcoming, and helpful. The guest house itself is beautiful and the rooms are nice. The location was nice with lovely restaurants nearby.

The hotel itself is nice once the initial issues were resolved, and we stayed for two nights. However, be aware that the shower in the small room is a disaster—it’s tiny and dangerous, and you’ll keep hitting your head. On the positive side, the hotel organized a private tour to Abu Simbel for $85 for two people, and the car was comfortable. But for our transfer to Luxor, the car was in terrible shape and emitted exhaust from everywhere. Breakfast at the hotel, however, was excellent, so thumbs up for that!

this is a true gem of a guest house. it’s run by warm and conscientious owners who really understand how make the experience memorable. small touches go a long way, including the lovely communal spaces and gardens. the rooms are spotless and the location great. our family found this place a nice respite from a busy aswan.

The Mango guest house was an incredible and authentic experience in Elephantine Island. The staff, the facilities and the settings were fantastic. The staff arranged everything what we asked for: a car from Luxor, a trip to Abu Simbel, food delivery and a felucca sailing trip. It’s not for everybody, though. If you’re a 5-star hotel frequent visitor, this is not for you.

Had a great stay at Mango – we ended up extending from two nights to five! The location was excellent, our bedroom was spotlessly clean and well-provisioned, the peaceful garden was a joy. The breakfast provided was so fresh and tasty. A particularly nice touch was the honesty policy for drinks and being able to make a tea whenever you fancied one. Would definitely book here again!

Quite place, very clean and well equiped room and bathroom, very attentive and nice personnel, in particular Ali and Amina, great terrasse and atmosphère. You reach the place via the local boat. Ali was a great help to organise excursions.
