I arrived in the evening, and Talaat was already waiting for me at the ferry station to pick me up. He patiently explained, with lots of details, about Aswan, its magnificent sights, and the local culture. Talaat, his wife, and the staff were incredibly supportive and welcoming. They were always there whenever I had a question or request. The breakfast was amazing and served on the rooftop with a stunning view of the Nile. Queen House is a cozy guesthouse located on a tranquil island on the Nile. Talaat arranged two tours for me at reasonable prices, both of which I highly recommend: 1- Boat trip to the Nubian Village: The journey included exploring various islands on the route to the village. It was an incredible experience. Osama, the tour leader and boat driver, was also a history teacher. He shared fascinating information about the history of Egypt, Aswan, and the Nubian territory. His knowledge turned the trip into an unforgettable journey. 2- Road trip to Abu Simbel (without a guide): The trip started at 4 AM. Talaat arranged a boat to drop us off at the meeting point. The journey took about 3-4 hours each way, with 1.5 hours to explore the site. My room was clean, cozy, and quiet, with power outlets conveniently located near the bed! There’s also a kitchenette in the guesthouse where you can help yourself with tea and coffee. The guesthouse is located in the heart of Elephantine Village. To reach or return from Aswan, you need to take a motorboat (either private or public). It wasn’t challenging at all—there was about a 6-7 minute walk from the guesthouse to the boat station. Public boats were frequent, with no more than a 10-minute wait and a cost of EGP 10 per trip. Although I’m not sure of the exact boat schedules, I recall taking a public boat back to the island around 9 PM without any issues. Last but not least, the restaurant beside the guesthouse is wonderful! I already miss their mixed vegetable dish and the fried fish.

Nice room - very clean & we slept well! Talaat was a welcoming host who picked us up by boat to take us to the guesthouse. It is a short 5 minute ride to Aswan center (10EGP). Coffee & tea is provided, and since we had to leave very early to catch a bus, breakfast was conveniently boxed to go! Highly recommend :)

Location is great and the questhouse is very tastefully done. Clean, comfotable and very nice people. The breakfast was fantastic. It was the nicest place we stayed in during our trip through Egypt!

The room was clean, and comfortable with the most beautiful view over the Nile from the balcony. The staff were lovely and helped us organise tours to Abu Simbel, the temple of Philae etc. Elephantine Island was quiet and easily accessible via local ferry.

The guesthouse is nicely decorated, surrounding you with the Nubian vibes, but what makes it truly Nubian is its awesome crew - with an honest smile, helpful advice, fairly priced service should you need one. It’s a place to take a rest and relax, without a hassle. The fantastic view from the two front rooms is just a bonus.

We had an amazing stay at Queen House. The guest house is beautiful and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. They helped arrange us tours at very good prices and looked after us very well. Elephantine is a wonderful place to stay and this side of the island is much more peaceful.

The owners of the hotel were extraordinarily helpful and accommodating. Talaat helped us with all our questions. The breakfasts was homemade and very delicious. The view on the Nile was incredible and super relaxing.
