They sent a person to help with luggage as it required a lot of stairs. Room was spacious, had hair drier and shower with hot water. Kitchen of the floor was open to use with kettle. Overall good stay.

The room was clean and nicely done. It opened onto a top floor terrace with a view of Aswan and the Nile. There was a cleaner available every morning. I had access to a kitchen next to my room with a kettle for making tea. The host family were all lovely people and friendly and pleasant to deal with.

The location is right next to the pier to cross the river, so it is really convenient. The beds were big and comfortable. They also offer laundry service, which they did for free for us (since the clothes were still wet when we had to leave) which was strongly appreciated.

The breakfast was quite nice. The elderly lady who runs the place was very kind and helpful. Thanks for the oranges! :D Hostel is located on Elephantine Island, close to the port. Since the roads of Elephantine Island are mostly unpaved, wheeled luggage can be a bit challenging to use. The rooms had an authentic feel. In the hostel, the shower area and toilet are not separated, but interestingly, this didn’t cause us any inconvenience during our use.

The Nuba Dool is in a quiet location with a beautiful view from the top terrace overlooking the Nile and the city across the river. The entire island is very safe, even in the evening, and we enjoyed spending our free time there—whether at a café by the Nile or in one of the local restaurants. Amira and the staff were very kind and friendly. All tours and transportation were arranged through Amira, which saved us time and the hassle of haggling.

Great location right next to the ferry. Roof garden overlooking the river. The host and her family were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Elephantine Island is a lovely quiet place to relax.

Very kind reception by the hosts. Self service kitchen on the rooftop level, teabags provided, Great view overlooking Nile river from the rooftop. Refrigerators provided on every floor. 100m from the public ferryboat. Ferry operative 6 a.m. til 11 p.m. for 10 EGP, outside this timeframe boats available. Basic grocery for breakfast available next to the ferry dock.

Such a welcoming time. Amira reached out on WhatsApp ahead to advise on activities. All were well priced and went really smoothly (driver and boat to Philae, minivan to Abu Simbel and driver to Luxor via Kom Ombo and Edfu). The guest house is family run, with everyone friendly and happy to help. The coffee on arrival was the best I’d had in Egypt and went great with breakfast (which also really nice). I also really appreciated how quickly they made it at short notice to be in time for my departure. The guest house is less than a minute dock from the ferry to Elephantine island (it crosses the Nile regularly and was 10 egp so really straightforward). There’s a terrace that overlooks the river so was really nice to chill early evening with the sunset and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance on the island. My room was big, bed comfy, sockets in good locations and the shower was a nice pressure and hot. All of this was great value too!

Very nice place—clean, large room with a charming nubian style brick house. Wonderfyl and very friendly staff. The views over the Nile are peaceful and pleasant. A perfect base to explore Elephantine and its sightseens. If we ever come back to Aswan, we’ll definitely try to stay here again
