Sun “Great host, nice terrace view”

Mohammed was a very great host, we enjoyed our time here. Terrace view was perfect, car transfers were arranged even though we arrived past midnight. We have large luggages which Mohammed arranged for guys to carry for us from the Jetty to the homestay, that helped as there were many stairs. Before/After crossing the river though, you may have to figure out how to carry up the rest of the stairs on your own. Just a point to note as no review mentioned this. Still, overall experience was great!

La Terrace was located in a nice place and has all the required facilities. The owner is very nice, honest and helped us throughout our stay. Our room was very nice with amazing views from the terrace. The place itself is located in the village so needs a boat ride (10 Egyptian pounds per person) to get there. The owner met us at the ferry and helped us with the bags to our room. The area is very peaceful with a few good restaurants around. He also helped us with our tours at very reasonable prices.

The Terrace is well located and the appartement is big and clean. And the view on the Nil from the terrace is amazing (the terrace is at the same level of the room). The Owner Mohammed is always available when we have a question and giving advices. The breakfast (at the uncle building) is really good: this is one of the best breakfast taken during our stay in Egypt (very tasty the Nubian tagine with eggs). I will surely recommend this place and I hope that I will have the opportunity to be back once in the future.

Mohammad was such a nice and knowledgeable host and runs such a great family owned hotel. The location was great being on Elephantine Island and an easy river crossing with assistance from Mohammad on which boat to take. The room was so comfortable and clean and would happily stay here again. Thank you for everything Mohammad and your family for such a great experience.

Very good, the hotel is right next to the ferry, the location is very convenient, you can rent a boat to go anywhere. The owner is very enthusiastic and can arrange various tour routes. The hotel has a good view of the Nile River. I am very happy to stay here for five days.

Spectacular and convenient location on Elephantine island, just a few minutes away from traffic and chaos in Central Aswan. No cars on the island, only simple gravel paths. Beautiful terrace overlooking the river. We went for a feluca cruise, starting from our own front door and exploring the many river branches in the surroundings.

The view is fantastic. The host is amazing. It’s a cozy space with all the basic amenities and so close to ferry point and good restaurant
