Super friendly, helpful staff! Very good location. Staff prepared breakfast bags for us when we had to leave for a tour at 4am, and kept our bags safe for us. Very cheap food and drinks.

The facade and reception area was newly renovated. It looked really good. The staff were friendly and helps us arrange for our breakfast box as we had to leave really early the next morning.

Clean, simple, somewhat faded hotel. Friendly staff. Adequate WiFi, and simple breakfast in rooftop dining area with views of the Nile. Very close to downtown sights, and also easy to reach the souk and the ferry to Elephantine island. Public ferry is very cheap, and a great way to cross the River.

-the room was large so you could unpack and spread out if staying awhile- there's a wardrobe to hang your clothes. - there was a vanity outside the bathroom which was nice so 1 person can get ready while the other showers. -sheets were clean- overall it met basic standards - located close to the old market - breakfast included ( the man who served us breakfast was nice and accomodating)

1. Vantage location: It is a stone throw away from the Nile. McDonald's and ferry port 3 mins away on foot. Local bazaar a couple of minutes away. Big police station just round the corner. 2. Breakfast box for 4am Abu Simbel trip

To begin with, the location of the hotel was great. You step out and you're in sight of the market. Behind the hotel is the main road where you have access to local public transport. The train station is walking distance and everything you will ever need is all nearby such as restaurants, cafes, money exchange places, bank, ferry ports, transport etc... I didn't really need to hire a private driver, all I ever used was the ferry to cross the Nile (5 EGP for tourists) or I used the "Microbus" to travel further up the road or to other villages nearby (3-4 EGP per ride) I found the locals extremely helpful and friendly with majority of them speaking basic English (avoid asking the excursion people for help/advice. They will just sell you their services as expected) Coming into the hotel the staff were absolutely amazing! they welcomed you with beautiful smiles and their casual friendly treatment towards you makes you feel comfortable and at home. They have good knowledge of the area and are happy to assist you whenever you need. Somaya, Aya and Abdelrahman are the loveliest people ever. Somaya enlightens the place with her kindness and her sparkling smile. Aya comforts the the place with her polite and calm nature and Abdelrahman beautifies the place with his humble and gentle character. The rooms were comfortable and a decent size. I asked for a room with a small balcony and they took that into consideration. The room had everything I needed, with big full size windows that showed off a great city view and comfortable bedding to sleep tight. Breakfast was sufficient - the three days I was there I had some slight changes in the meal which is good also the breakfast is with a nice view on the top floor. The hotel overall is clean and the location is safe. Attractions are all nearby and I eagerly wait to pay another visit.
